Celebrating and positioning one of the UK’s top medical schools

Swansea University Medical School is the 3rd best medical school in the UK, ranked 1st in the UK for research environment, and 2nd for overall research quality. It educates and trains tomorrow’s doctors and life scientists through an interdisciplinary approach to translational medicine.

We were approached by Dean, and Head of School, Professor Keith Lloyd, to deliver a publication that celebrated the great strides the School had taken in the ten short years between its inception in 2004 and 2104. It was a big ask, from a busy man, who needed to delegate everything to an agency that had the complete skill-set to bring the publication to fruition within a very tight deadline.

We rose to the task and suggested the publication could function as a powerful PR document to ‘sell’ the School in the future to maintain upward momentum through the rankings as well as being a summary retrospective. The result was History in the Making which is now being used as one of the School’s key promotional tools. The success of a project of this scale, led to a further commission by the Head of School to write and design the 10 year impact review for MHRN-Cymru to present to NISCHR at Welsh Government.
